The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission invites the public to the ninth annual Cambodian Cultural Celebration which takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Saltwater State Park in King County (Directions: https://goo.gl/maps/cFsSSpzKTSr). Admission to the Cambodian Cultural Celebration is free.
Members of the South Puget Sound Cambodian communities will share their culture through performances of traditional music, dance and drumming, along with activities, contests, displays and demonstrations for the entire family. In addition, Cambodian food will be available for purchase from Angkor Gourmet of Tacoma.
Artists, performances and cultural organizations include: classical and traditional dances by Cambodian Classical and Folk Dance Northwest, Khmer traditional music by Seattle’s Khmer community, Seven Colors Fashion Show, Tacoma Buddhist Temple monks’ blessing ceremony, and martial arts demonstrations by United Southeast Asian Cultural Association.
