Wing Luke Museum 2019 Auction and Dinner Volunteer Call

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Give back to your Asian Pacific American community by volunteering for the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience! The Wing, located in the historic heart of Seattle’s Chinatown International District, is the nation’s only museum devoted to the pan-Asian Pacific American experience. The mission of The Wing is to connect everyone to the dynamic history, cultures, and art of Asian Pacific Americans through vivid storytelling and inspiring experiences to advance racial and social equity.

The Wing seeks volunteers for its signature Dinner and Art Auction on Saturday, March 23, 2019. The proceeds support innovative museum programming and exhibits such as the award-winning YouthCAN teen program and the Bruce Lee exhibit. The success of the event is a direct reflection of the commitment our volunteers have for the museum, so we hope you will consider donating your time, energy, and enthusiasm! The shift times are:

  • Set up: any time between 11:00am-4:00pm
  • Silent Auction: 3:30pm-7:30pm
  • Live Auction: 5:30pm-10:00pm

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:
The auction is at the Embassy Suites Seattle at 255 S King St, within walking distance of the International District/Chinatown Link Light Rail Station. Dinner, snacks, and beverages are provided! Dress code for the silent and live auction is festive but business appropriate attire (comfortable shoes are highly encouraged). We are unable to compensate volunteers for parking and other transportation costs at this time.
