On Saturday, October 8, Hood Famous Bakeshop celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Ballard.
Founded in November of 2014, the operation has grown to provide its delicious, handcrafted cheesecakes at 10 local grocery stores and restaurants in the greater Seattle area. Hood Famous Cheesecakes are also available at the Beaverton, Oregon Uwajimaya, and occasionally available through apps including Lish, UberEATS, and Amazon Prime Now. Hood Famous Bakeshop’s new Ballard location is open from 11am to 7pm Thursday through Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. It is closed Monday through Wednesday. The shop is underground, just around the corner from the NW Market Street & 24th Avenue NW intersection. It is accessible from Shilshole Avenue, and the address is 2325½ NW Market Street, Seattle, WA 98107.
