The Seattle Youth Commission is currently seeking applications from young people between the ages of 13 and 19. The commission works with the mayor and other officials on issues important to Seattle’s youth.

The commission is comprised of 25 Seattleites who are appointed by the mayor and Seattle City Council. The commission discusses issues with the city’s youth by hosting Youth Community Meetings.

The time commitment includes one weekly meeting in your neighborhood and one monthly Youth Commission meeting at City Hall.

The priority deadline is Wednesday, July 30. And the final deadline is Wednesday, August 13.
