An invitation to the community to welcome Mami Hara, the newly confirmed Seattle Public Utilities Director. The event will take place on Friday, November 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Nagomi Tea House (519 6th Avenue South, Seattle). Mayor Ed Murray announced Mami Hara as his appointment for the Director of Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) on July 28.
Prior to moving to Seattle, Hara took part in implementing Green City, Clean Waters in Philadelphia. The program’s goal is to reduce stormwater pollution by adding green foliage and vegetation alongside streets and sidewalks that drain stormwater into sewers.
RSVP by e-mail to Diane Sugimura ([email protected]) or John Okamoto ([email protected]).
