The Confucius Institute of the State of Washington (CIWA) and Seattle Public Schools (SPS) invites the public to Confucius Institute Day, a global celebration of Confucius Institutes on Saturday, September 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Chief Sealth International High School in Seattle.

Confucius Institute Day celebrates the 10th anniversary of Confucius Institutes around the world. Its purpose is to cultivate Chinese cultural awareness, raise interest in Chinese language learning, and provide local communities a direct experience or taste of Chinese culture. Confucius Institute Day will include a wide range of Chinese cultural activities, including Chinese language classes, poetry reading, calligraphy writing, tea ceremony, traditional Chinese dumpling demonstrations, Chinese performances of Peking Opera, Lion Dancing, Seattle’s renowned Chinese Drill Team, Kung Fu, and more.
