At the end of WWII, the Cathay Post 186 was formed by returning Chinese American veterans because discrimination prevented them to join existing Posts and to have a group assisting veterans to bring family and potential wives from China.

The program at the luncheon will include a special preview about the Cathay Post adopted as a TV documentary by Ron Chew as narrator, recognizing and awarding our scholarship winners and short speeches from community leaders like Ambassador Gary Locke.

The luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on August 24, 2016, at PALISADE (2601 West Marina Place; Seattle, WA 98199). It costs $110/person, which includes a full course meal, choice of desserts and a glass of wine.

Please register by August 19, 2016.
