On July 9th 2016, beginning at 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Eritrean Association Community Center (1528 Valentine Place South, Seattle, Washington 98144), grassroots organizations unite on a joint venture to increase equity and political involvement.
The event is organized by the caring community members of: Asian Coalition for Equality (ACE), Coalition of Immigrants Refugees and Communities of Color (CIRCC), Eritrean Association of greater Seattle, Experience Ease, Filipino Community of Seattle, Latino Community Fund (LCF), League of Education Voters (LEV), Rajana Society, Seattle Alliance of Black School Educators (SABSE), Southeast Asian Education Coalition (SEAeD), & White Center Community Development Association (WCCDA). The forum will include candidates in the race for Secretary of State, Congressional District 9, Congressional District 7, and the 43rd Legislative District.
These organizations seek to strengthen communities through equity in education, housing and employment, and through the facilitation of meaningful dialogue between local communities and political representatives. A wide range of translators are available upon request.
