In San Diego, 39-year-old Philong Huynh, who was accused of sexually assaulting and killing one man last year and sexually assaulting a second young man this year, pleaded not guilty to murder and sodomy charges. According to the San Diego newschannel 6, Huynh was arrested Sept. 10 and charged with murdering and sodomizing 23-year-old Dane Williams. He faces a special circumstance allegation of sodomy, which makes him eligible for the death penalty if convicted. A suspect remained unidentified in the Williams killing until four months ago, when a second young man came forward and said he had been drugged and sexually assaulted by Huynh. The DNA evidence collected linked Huynh to the Williams killing. The District Attorney will decide whether the defendant will face the death penalty or life in prison without parole, if convicted.
