The 100,000 Opportunities Initiative is hosting a job fair for young people between the ages of 16 and 24 not in work or school. The fair will be at the CenturyLink Events Center from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. on May 5.

At the fair will be 28 companies, including Alaska Airlines, Microsoft, Nordstrom, and Starbucks, interviewing for positions. Some positions available may require little prior experience, though this will vary from employer to employer.

Attendees will be able to walk around the fair to learn about the companies. Additionally, organizations dedicated to career development, education opportunities, civic engagement, and legal resources will be at the fair.

Registration on the 100,000 Opportunities website is required to secure job interviews.

The 100,000 Opportunities Initiative is a coalition of companies with the goal of hiring 100,000 young people for apprenticeships, internships, and jobs by 2018. The Initiative has hosted job fairs in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Phoenix.

The following businesses will be at the fair: Alaska Airlines, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Delaware North, Domino’s, Evolution Fresh, FedEx, Hilton, HMSHost, Hyatt, JCPenney, Leisure Care, Lyft, Macy’s, Microsoft, Nordstrom, Panda Express, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, Red Robin, Republic Services, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Target, Teavana, T-Mobile, Ulta Beauty, Walgreens, and Walmart.
