The Seattle Public Library is hosting a day of entertainment, activities and culture celebrating Seattle’s African-American community at the Rainier Beach: Heart & Soul Community Fair from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 on the plaza at the Rainier Beach Community Center (8825 Rainier Ave. S.)
Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Family-friendly games and a photo booth will be available at the fair, along with free food and face painting while supplies last. There will also be food trucks, artist stations, hip-hop, dance, jazz, food, community organizations, voter registration and more.

12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. – Total Experience Gospel Choir
1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Team Selam Dance
1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. – Lady A
2 p.m. to 3 p.m. – EMP and Arts Corp’s Hip-Hop Artist Residency
3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – NW Tap Connection
4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Gabriel Teodros
