The election for the International Special Review District (ISRD) Board is Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Bush Hotel, Hing Hay Coworks (409 Maynard Avenue South). In 1973, the ISRD Board was created to preserve, protect and enhance the cultural, economic, and historical qualities of the area. The Board reviews both changes to individual businesses and changes that may impact the entire district. There are two positions open this year: one for a Business Person, Property Owner or Employee and one for an At-Large seat. Nominations are accepted until Tuesday, Oct. 11.

You may submit your nomination form by mail to: Department of Neighborhoods PO Box 94649, Seattle, WA 98124-4649, or in person at: Seattle City Hall, 600 4th Ave., 4th floor. Voters must be registered at least 30 days prior to the election in order to vote on Nov. 15. To request a voter registration form, please contact the Board Coordinator at the number below.

The Board has seven members, five elected by the community and two appointed by the Mayor. Board members serve two year terms. Additional information about the ISRD can be found on their website.
