The film, Joy of Man’s Desiring (Hito no nozomi no Yorokobi yo, English subtitles) by direcor Masakazu Sugita will be shown at SIFF Center (305 Harrison St., Seattle, WA 98109) on March 10. There will be two screening events from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sugita experienced the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995 when he was 14 years old. After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, Sugita decided to create this film about a sister and brother orphaned after a massive earthquake.
