On Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, Hood Famous Bakeshop will be having its grand opening at 2325 1/2 NW Market Street (entrance on Shilshole Ave). Hood Famous Bakeshop will be open Thursdays & Fridays from 12 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Owners Chera Amlag & Geo Quibuyen grew Hood Famous Bakeshop from the Filipino pop-up dinner series Food & Sh*t which featured Chera’s unique desserts introducing new Filipino flavors to familiar American classics, including Chera’s Hood Famous Ube Cheesecake which has been made available at Uwajimaya and Seafood City. Amlag and Quibuyen also provided desserts for restaurants like Kraken Congee and Wild Ginger.

Daily items available include six cheesecake flavors (Ube, Mango Calamansi, Buko Pandan, White Chocolate Guava, Vietnamese Coffee, and Matcha), marshmallows (ube, strawberry calamansi, mango) & cookies (ube, matcha, and chocolate). Hood Famous merchandise and special dessert items will be introduced seasonally, available exclusively at this location. Additionally, catering and online orders (including shipped items) will expand in the coming months.
