The Racial Equity Team (RET), Equity in Education Coalition (EEC) and the Coalition of Immigrants, Refugees and Communities of Color (CIRCC) invite you to a community-based, POC-led conversation about 3 bills from the 2018 legislative session – HB 2331, SB 5987 and SB 6566 – and how they could have affected civil rights in our communities.
Guest speakers include Elisabeth Smith, legislative director of the ACLU, and Gordon Hill, attorney from the special litigation unit of the King County Department of Public Defense.
This event will be hosted at the Eritrean Association of Greater Seattle. Participants bring their own dinner. To RSVP or for more information, contact [email protected].
