Fight for Hope is currently seeking support for the Asian Pacific Islander Culture Awareness Group (APICAG) at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.
Formerly Incarcerated Group Healing Together (FIGHT) has been working closely with the Clallam Bay Corrections Center to support their Asian Pacific Islander Culture Awareness Group. The group recently got approved for a library.
In collaboration with FIGHT, the API Flying Bookshelf will be hosting a book drive on Thursday July 9, 2015 at Cafe Hope, located at the lower level of Asian Counseling and Referral Services (ACRS), 3639 Martin Luther King Jr Way S Seattle.
A 5:00 p.m. silent auction will feature art from local artists starting at $20. The 6:00 p.m. program will feature local poets, artists, and community members
While books written by API authors are appreciated, all genres are accepted at the book drive. The drive will also accept CDs. API Artists will be greatly appreciated, ethnic songs are also encouraged. CDs must be the original. Burned/bootleg CD’s and CDRW will not be accepted.
