
Families Of Color Seattle (FOCS) will be presenting FOCS ARTS FEST at Nectar Lounge on April 30, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This celebration of the community will be a fundraiser to support programs for children of color.
Families Of Color Seattle (FOCS) is a local non-profit dedicated to connecting parents of color with other families and communities while building strong support through parenting programs and sharing resources for parents of color.
The FOCS ARTS FEST will feature live Seattle music artists in genres including Afrofuturism, hip-hop, reggae, R&B, West African, soul, and Brazilian. There will also be traditional and modern dance performances and activity stations for kids and families. It will feature performances by Sassyblack, Pak of Kore Ionz, Prometheus Brown of Blue Scholars, Otieno Terry , Anna Banana Freeze Of Massive Monkees, and others.
The event costs $50 for pre-sale tickets (2 adults and up to 3 children) and $30 (1 adult, 1 child). Tickets at the door on the day of the show will be $60 (2 adults, up to 3 children) and $35 (1 adult, 1 child). Tickets and registration are available here.
