Breathe Deep Seattle honors all whose lives have been affected by lung cancer, the nation’s number one cancer killer. A dedicated committee of volunteers and survivors behind Breathe Deep Seattle wants to raise awareness that lung cancer has no boundaries, regardless of smoking history, age, gender, or ethnicity, but that there is hope. In just 3 years, Breathe Deep Seattle has raised over $210,000 for LUNGevity Foundation, the largest private funder of lung cancer research. Through events like Breathe Deep Seattle, LUNGevity is able to provide a community of hope for those affected by this disease.
Join Breathe Deep Seattle on Saturday, August 9, to raise awareness and to raise money for lung cancer research. This year, Breathe Deep Seattle takes place at Seward Park, 5895 Lake Washington Blvd. S. The event is an untimed Fun Run/Walk along a 2.4-mile course that is stroller, wheelchair, and pet friendly. Be sure to clean up after your pets.
