In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness month (October 2016), FYRE (Filipino Youth Reunite to Elevate), a youth leadership program based in the Filipino Community of Seattle, is organizing community healing event called Siklab ng Puso, at the Filipino Community Center on Friday, November 18th, in collaboration with API Chaya as well as holding a blessing for their community garden, Lupang Ipamana.

The event honors and remembers the many lives that are affected by domestic violence. Food and refreshments will be provided.

Filipino Youth Reunite to Elevate, FYRE was launched in the Spring of 2015 in collaboration with the Filipino Community of Seattle and API Chaya. FYRE is a program for young people interested in gaining leadership skills, building community, and learning about issues that impact Filipino youth.
