On Sunday, November 30, Grassroots Youth and Student organization Anakbayan Seattle will recognize the founding of Kabataang Makabayan—one of the first Youth and Student progressive organizations in the Philippines. As a Filipino youth organization, Anakbayan aims to continue their legacy of resistance.

Anakbayan Seattle will also be sharing stories of the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan and other (un)natural disasters throughout the Philippines.

There will be food, a silent auction, performances, and more.

The event happens Sunday, November 30 at Jaam Rek Studios. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. Tickets: $5 Youth, $7 General (No one will be turned away). Email [email protected] for more information.
