A recent satisfaction survey conducted by Hebert Research, Inc. for the Seattle Housing Authority showed a high level of satisfaction with the service and housing quality provided by the Housing Authority.

74% — Percentage of residents who said they are highly satisfied with the service Seattle Housing provides.

$11.1 million — Project cost to rehabilitate the Douglas Apartments into newly remodeled South Shore Court. 1,200 — Approximate number of residents living at Yesler Terrace, a 561-unit community that is in the planning stages of redevelopment. Among the SHA’s listed accomplishments: its efforts to control bedbugs; the High Point parks that draw praise for their play spaces; and a new SHA lead, Rod Brandon, hired to direct housing operations. He will replace Don Ashlock, who will retire at the end of January after nearly ten years in this position.
