The Seattle Department of Transportation is holding First Hill Streetcar Safety Day to educate the community about safety considerations regarding the new First Hill Streetcar line that will soon begin operations.

Tour the First Hill Streetcar and learn about streetcar safety on December 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Occidental Mall, Pioneer Square, South Jackson Street and Occidental Avenue South

Bailey Gatzert Elementary Central District, 14th Avenue South and South Washington Street

Capitol Hill, Broadway East and East Denny Way

The First Hill Streetcar will connect Capitol Hill, First Hill, Yesler Terrace, Central Area, Chinatown ID, and Pioneer Square. The system will provide frequent service with headways of approximately 10 minutes during peak periods. Service will operate 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sundays and holidays, service will operate 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A fleet of six streetcars will support the service, with three to five streetcars in operation during the service day.
