On January 21, Extraordinary Futures brought the community together at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute for a night of music, dancing, and the arts as part of its “Breakthrough: Empowering Seattle Youth Through the Arts.”

The fundraising event featured performances by Prometheus Brown of Blue Scholars and Food & Sh*t, the Massive Monkees world champion b-boy/b-girl dance crew, former Microsoft executive Scott Oki of Oki Golf, the UW Hip Hop Student Association Dance Team, Pak of Kore Ionz, Otieno Terry, and Troy Osaki. The night also featured student showcases from Extraordinary Futures/Massive Experience.

Founded by members of the Massive Monkees, Extraordinary Futures seeks to empower youth with leadership and critical life skills through the arts. The organization celebrated its growth since its inception three years ago and the impact its made in the community.
