The International Examiner will experiment with printing once a month this summer. The print edition will come out on June 21, July 19, and August 16. The goal of this pause is to create space to explore what kind of content we could produce with additional time and a break from print deadlines. We remain committed to delivering timely, relevant coverage of the Chinatown International District and beyond, and printing monthly provides us with a better opportunity to attend to our digital presence and website on a rolling basis. It will also allow us to produce deeper and more wide-ranging stories in print.

The IE turns 50 this year, and as we reflect on this milestone, this decision opens up an exciting chance to review where we’ve been, how we’re doing, and where we’re going, while also providing our staff with some time for rest and care. Thank you to our readers and community for your ongoing support of local journalism. Onward! If you’d like to help sustain our work, please consider becoming a monthly donor.
