Last month’s review

For February, air quality in the neighborhood was mostly “good,” with four days in the “moderate” range. Unfortunately, the air monitoring site in the Chinatown-International District was down for maintenance for five days during the month.

Did you know?

The main sources of air pollution in the neighborhood are cars and trucks driving on I-5 and I-90. In 2015, the US broke the record for most miles ever driven in a year: 3.1 trillion miles. This record beat the previous record set in 2007. That is the equivalent of 337 round trips from Earth to Pluto.
