668 Investment LLC plans to build an 8-story housing project on a vacant lot at 1040 S King Street. The lot is wedged between BEAM Apartments and a parking lot that hosts the Taqueria El Ranchero taco truck. The small lot size constrained how tall the building could be developed, explained Chaohua Chang, project architect, during a February 11 meeting of the ISRD Board.
The planned project would contain 51 residential units, with ground floor retail, and no parking. The developer first applied for a permit in 2017.
