Japan-America Society of the State of Washington is hosting “Empowering Women in the U.S. and Japan: Women in Leadership” at the Bellevue Hilton on Thursday, September 14 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

This event will focus on contemporary challenges and best practices related to empowering women in the U.S. and Japan. There will also be a panel to discuss women’s participation in the workforce, economic growth in Washington state, and changes in corporate culture to further gender equality in the workplace. Panelists include Representative Sharon Tomiko Santos (D-WA), Denise Moriguchi (CEO, Uwajimaya Inc.), Sara Sandford (owner of Garvey Schubert Barer), and Yochiro Yamada (Consulate General of Japan in Seattle).

“Empowering Women in the U.S. and Japan” costs $25 for Japan-America Society members, $35 for non-members, $15 for student members, and $20 for student non-members.
