PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The untold stories of Chinese American WWII and Korean War veterans will be documented through in-depth video taped interviews with forty to fifty elderly veterans. The project also includes digitized historical photos and documents, a one hour documentary film and a special Cathay Post publication.
PROJECT GOALS/OBJECTIVE
- A 45 minute film documenting the experiences of 40-50 Korean War and WWII veterans will be produced.
- A Cathay Post publication (10,000 copies) will be produced and circulated.
- In depth interviews will be conducted with 40-50 WWII and Korean War vets and the children of some deceasedCathay Post members.
- A community wide viewing of the completed project will be hosted by the applicant.
